Peter G. Kirchschlaeger serves as a consultative expert for national and international organizations (including the UN, UNICEF, and the EU), for companies and NGOs. He is President of the Swiss Federal Ethics Committee on Non-Human Biotechnology and of the Ethics Advisory Board Smart Lucerne of the City of Lucerne.

Since 2023, he has been a Visiting Professor at ETH Zurich at the ETH AI Center, one of the world’s largest hubs for research in artificial intelligence. He is a Research Fellow at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein (South Africa) and a Visiting Fellow at the Global Ethos Institute at the University of Tübingen. Previously, he was a Visiting Fellow at Yale University.

His research has been recognized multiple times by the United Nations. In 2024, he received the Best Teacher Award from the students of the University of Lucerne.
